Chris Birkett is a multi talented music producer, sound engineer, musician, lyric writer and composer...a unique, visionary artist...His journey as an artist and his life are intimately connected and bear witness to his vision of a better world to come. His music productions and collaborations have sold more than one hundred million records and earned him three Grammy Awards for excellence in the music business. He rapidly became a producer in his own right working with artists such as: Sinead O'Connor, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Alison Moyet, Dexys Midnight Runners, Talking Heads, The Pogues, Bob Geldof, Mel Brooks, Siedah Garrett, Steve Earle, Ali Amran, Alain Chamfort, René Lacaille, Talitha Mac Kenzieetc…In 1993, he moved to France and opened a studio in Bordeaux where he collaborated with many international and world music artists; at the same time, he returned to the stage to promote his first album "Men from the sky". The extract "Where do we go from here" was included in the humanitarian album "One Voice, One Love" on Polygram records In 2009, he recorded his own second album "Freedom" featuring Tony Visconti, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Marc Berthoumieux and André Ceccarelli.

9 Lives and Counting is the product of guitarist, Peter Alexander's exhaustive search for the perfect mix of musicianship and camaraderie. It has taken 10 years, but finally 9 Lives and Counting is poised to leave its mark on the history of rock. The first element, was Craig Burnatowski a multi-talented singer and actor. Craig provides power and depth to the vocals that compliment Peter's sonic tapestry. Ever mindful of melody, Craig utilizes his versatility to make each song stand alone as a unique story. The next member to join, was Jason Hutchings on drums. Jason draws heavily upon his education in music performance and composition to add new layers to the nuanced sound, 9 Lives and Counting has been seeking. Behind the kit, Jason is a ferocious beast powering the engine that drives the songs home.  Finally, the missing link was found. Rounding out the sound on the bottom end is Scott Everatt. Scott's bass lines add an element of groove and funk, that separates 9 Lives and Counting from their peers. These four, who are as humble as they are talented, are ready to bring the fun and energy back to rock! When you combine these elements, what you get is distinctly, unmistakeable sound of 9 Lives and Counting.
