Dixie Chicken - Tribute to Little Feat and Southern Rock Returns to the Linsmore Tavern!

Friday December 29th, the Linsmore Tavern is so excited to welcome back, Dixie Chicken and their Tribute to Little Feat! Over the years we have heard so many good things about Dixie Chicken and have had so many requests to bring them in and when we did, they absolutely killed it! They rocked the Sold-Out Crowd and this is a show that we are really looking forward to! This seven piece band will absolutely blow you away with their tribute to Little Feat, as well as incorporating some music from some other Classic Roots/Rock/Southern Rock bands such as The Band, The Allman Brothers, and Steely Dan!

Dixie Chicken plays the music of legendary roots rockers "Little Feat". Led by Juno-nominated John Fraser Findlay, this 7 piece all-star Toronto band has been rocking audiences for the past two years playing the music of Little Feat, The Allman Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, The Band and all things funky.

After recording with Bill Payne, (founding member of Little Feat) in 2015 , Findlay was inspired to fire up Dixie Chicken and hit the Canadian bar & festival circuit with much success. Little Feat, one of the top touring bands of the 1970's has inspired countless bands such as The Black Crowes, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt to mention a few, fronted by the charismatic Lowell George one of rocks greatest voices and slide guitarists. A favorite of Robert Plant (who hailed them as America's Rolling Stones) they infused rock, country, funk & New Orleans creating a sound unlike any band of the 1970s.

Dixie Chicken features: John Findlay, Russ Boswell, Rob Gusevs, Tracey Gallant, Danny Lockwood, Kevin Vinneau, Craig Riley.

Tickets for this show is $7 in advance, $10 at the door! You can buy tickets at the bar or right here: BUY TICKETS!!
