Thursday September 1st the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) is extremely excited to welcome for the very first time, Freeloader! We have heard some amazing things about this band and we can’t wait for them to bring this hard-rock cover band with a powerhouse vocalist to our stage! Freeloader is a dynamic 4 piece hard rockin’ heavy funkin’ band whose Covid-19 pandemic genesis can be attributed to a four-man quest for their dream cover band. Led by versatile frontman Joe Cuscianna, and supported by a rhythm section with years of professional experience, Freeloader flawlessly performs the music of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Tool, Black Sabbath, Incubus, Rush, Peter Gabriel, Soundgarden, Zeppelin and many more. Cuscianna’s uncanny ability to capture the sound and feel of some of Rock music’s most iconic singers, combined with his high-octane stage presence makes Freeloader a band not to be missed. Members include long-time musical associates Frank Baraczka (drums and percussion) and Ken Purvis (Bass) who have performed together all across the country and have shared the stage with some of Canada’s most beloved musical artists. On guitar and backing vocals, “Calamity Johnny” John Landry, whose peerless musicality and hard-hitting solos, is the engine that drives this high-powered quartet.
