“Butterfly szn is a Toronto-based neo-soul/RnB band. Comprised of vocals, sax/flute, keys, bass and drums, these musicians will serenade you. They play originals and covers like American Boy, Untitled No.5 and more! Originals range from groove-based to complicated forms and interesting melodies. Together this band will tug on your heart strings while they get you grooving along.”
Aaron Blewett Village Band
“A project focused on capturing & crafting a truly unique sound aesthetic with elements of jazz, avant-garde, and electronica stylings. Led by composer & drummer Aaron Blewett, he has crafted his sound and the band’s sound through mentors guiding his trajectory, such as Nancy Walker, Larnell Lewis, and Ernesto Cervini. They have been playing for around 2 years together, but have only just begun showcasing their sound in the last half-year in preparation for their upcoming debut album pegged to come out later next year.”
Public Library
“Public Library is a new project from Mira Riselli (bass) which features Elisabeth Dorion on vocals, Patrick O’Reilly and Josh Sparks on guitars, and Alison Kerfoot on drums. The group plays a mix of originals and covers while combining elements of punk rock with jazz and free improvisation. Their debut performance is not one to be missed!”
