There are 5 Sundays in the month of April, which means that the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave), gets to have an extra Blues Sunday night! Only the best in blues music at the Linsmore and that is certainly the case with the band that we are bringing in to perform on Sunday April 30! Russ and the Roadies featuring Russell Edwards Williams will be hitting our stage for the very first time and they will be bringing their Blues and R&B style to our stage! Russ has been playing Blues all over North America since the 1970s and has worked with many of the industry’s best blues artists! The show starts at 7pm, there’s no cover!

Russell Edward Williams’ cut his teeth in Montreal’s vibrant music scene of the 70s. Performing and recording across Canada, the U.S.A. and the Caribbean with artists Francine Raymond, Jeff Smallwood and others, while maintaining his presence in the Blues/R+B scene at home. Since moving to Toronto Russ has worked with Jay Douglas, George Oliver, Divine Brown, the Reggae Cowboys and many others while continuing his work as a session guitar player. He has recorded two albums of his own and may be heard on a number of award winning records. “Russ and the Roadies” is a blues and grooves trio/quartet featuring Russell on vocals.
