For the first time ever, let’s sing along to the most popular Ukrainian Songs all for a great cause! The Ukrainian song is the soul of Ukrainian people! Come enjoy a nostalgic evening of your favorite Ukranian cover songs sung by Andrey Kolodich with his Canadian friends at the Linsmore Tavern on March 13th, right beside Greennwood Subway staton 😉 Sing along in Ukranian to songs by Jerry Heil and, СКАЙ! Sunday May 3rd, the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) is excited to welcome 4 original bands, 2 of them are coming down from Montreal and the other 2 are from Toronto! Headlining this show from Montreal is the multi-threat instrumentalist who delivers melodic hooks, Jon Cohen! Now Yr Taken featuring songwriter Mikey Chrichten and Indie Singer/Songwriter Rachel Hickey are both Toronto base Indie acts who will be performing on this special matinee! Rachel Hickey is an independent singer-songwriter making feeling-packed music that cuts to the core. Based in traditional folk storytelling and inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell, and Taylor Swift, Rachel’s performances are energetic and heartfelt, filled with laughs and maybe a few tears (all welcome!) She is currently performing live across Ontario and beyond to support her latest EP and is preparing for debut full-length album release, “The Eve of St. Agnes”, due out this spring.

Thursday March 7th is going to be an unbelievable night of music as Tiffany Luv will be bringing you Sundown Sessions to the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave)! There will be incredible original acts performing on this showcase of singer/songwriters! This night will feature Christine Jackson, Dougal,  Emma Whale, Amanda Lyn Parker and Courtney Bowles! Christine Jackson: “Christine Jackson, a singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada, gained industry recognition for her exceptional talent and passion for music. Her international debut in 2022 with the single "Who Do You Feel Like" was supported by FACTOR funding, catapulting her career. Known for her haunting vocals and heartfelt lyrics, Christine has captivated audiences at renowned events and festivals, including Sofar Sounds, Toronto Pride, TD Toronto Jazz Fest, TD Play The Parks, Toronto’s Eaton Center and more. Her
music, blending folk, pop, and jazz influences, offers a timeless and refreshing sound, connecting with listeners on a profound level.”

Dougal: “Dougal (a Gaelic name that means “dark stranger”), has been creating music all his life, sometimes just in his imagination. The songs are thoughtful, intelligent, heart-felt, sometimes topical, sometimes universal, always interesting and entertaining. He tries to write songs that will make a connection to the audience, either emotional, intellectual, or with shared experiences and attitudes. You might recognize yourself, your friends, or people you barely know. He currently concentrates on songwriting, guitar playing, and finding appreciative audiences.”

Emma Whale: “No matter the genre, Emma knows how to make a song stand out. With her sweet-as-candy vocals up front, she’ll tell you sad stories with a tinge of hope. While her lyrics reflect her life, she’ll morph her sound to match her mood, resulting in a unique experience for every release. Emma became a multi-instrumentalist at a young age, starting with singing, then picking up piano and guitar not long afterwards. After high school, she earned her Bachelor of Musical Arts degree from Western University, and her Music Industry Arts diploma from Fanshawe College. Emma currently works as an engineer and producer at Catherine North Studios in Hamilton. Emma has been performing throughout the GTA for years, including appearances at the Burlington Sound of Music Festival’s Club Series, Sneaky Dee’s, The Casbah, and the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.”

Amanda Lyn Parker: “Amanda Lyn Parker is a singer-songwriter that aims to write about the human experience in a candid and vulnerable manner. She believes that practicing respect, honesty and empathy in daily life is the key to being a relatable writer. She wishes to inspire and encourage you to fearlessly express your own emotions and say only what you mean.”

Courtney Bowles: “Courtney is a proud Canadian multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and multi-platform content creator. Born in Scarborough, Ontario this towering, vivacious, 6’2 amazon bares her soul for an audience starved for the more beautiful aspects of life. Courtney has recently returned to being an unsigned and independent artist creating, releasing and booking her band as much as she can. Performing and writing various genres, her energetic and uplifting aura is surpassed only by her passion to perform all the while making those around her feel loved and deserving of love. Her instruments include her powerhouse Vocals, Piano, Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Ukulele and Mandolin.”

Thursday April 25th is a date you want to mark down on your calendar as the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave), is excited to welcome to of Canada’s best up and coming Original Rock bands to our stage and to Toronto! We can’t wait for My Own Addiction to hit our stage who have been killing it opening for Legendary Rock bands such as Buckcherry and Anvil! Also performing this evening will be the female-fronted Jade! Music fans, you definitely need to check out this amazing night of music from two of Canada’s finest, female fronted, emerging bands! The doors for this show will open at 7pm, tickets are $10!

MY OWN ADDICTION is a mainstream rock band out of Oshawa,Canada. The four-piece band formed in the late summer of 2022, and they were off to the studio to record their full self-titled debut LP before the turn of 2023.  
The band is composed of long-time musicians, Andrew Losier on guitar, Todd Burrows on drums, Tim Reesor on bass, and fronted by long time actor, Alexandra Augustine on vocals.  
Since dropping their debut LP in June of 2023, My Own Addiction has gone on to open for rock legends Buckcherry and supported the godfathers of metal, Anvil while they toured Canada.
These four musicians are driven by their passion for performing music that combines high energy classic rock with hard blues undertones, with the added layer of powerful female vocals and cleverly crafted lyrics. Audiences can expect a riveting live show that encourages you to shake off your inhibitions, let loose and rock out!

Formed in the summer of 2023 Oshawa based original band Jade combines pop, rock, and a dash of alt-rock to create their own distinct sound, oozing with catchy hooks, haunting melodies and powered by driving rhythm.

The band are Tara Karlsson (Vocals), Pat Bolahood (Bass), Elvis Lewis (Drums), and Jay Lovell (Guitar).

Jade are currently in production for their debut album which will be released in spring of 2024.

Big Shiny Goons Presents House Party: A 90’s + 00’s Throwback Night at the Linsmore Tavern!

Friday April 19th is going to be so much fun at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave)! For those of you who remember the Big Shiny Tunes compilation albums from the 90s and early 2000s, you are absolutely going to love this night as we are bringing a Tribute to those highly popular albums, Big Shiny Goons! Big Shiny Goons will be performing many of those incredible alternative rock, punk and pop punk hits from that era of music! You will hear songs by such bands as Blink 182, The Killers, The Counting Crows, Red Hot Chilipeppers, Nickleback, No Doubt, Green Day and so much more! The show starts at 9:30pm, there will be a $10 cover charge at the door!

Big Shiny Goons burst onto the Toronto music scene in 2023, bringing a wave of 90s and 2000s alternative rock, punk, and pop punk nostalgia to the forefront. The band’s name is a nod to the iconic “Big Shiny Tunes” compilation albums that served as a musical rite of passage for a generation. Comprising passionate musicians with a shared love for the energetic and infectious tunes of the era, Big Shiny Goons quickly gained a reputation for their lively and crowd-pleasing performances.
