This is going to be a great night of music that Toronto music fans need to check out! Headlining the night is 4 piece Indie Rock Band from Toronto, Genie featuring frontman/guitarist, brother Christian Biagini and his sister on drums Samantha Biagini! Housecat is an indie-pop trio based out of Waterloo. Formed in the summer of 2022, the band just released their debut single on Halloween. Critics are calling it the best song of all time, since ever before- ever. Their music can be described as catchy, devastatingly sad, and a little bit morbid. #meow
Dirty Rick – DIRTY RICK is a four-piece rock ’n’ roll machine from Hamilton, Ontario dedicated to putting on the wildest, sweatiest, dirtiest rock shows in the country. Their unique combination of fat basslines, banging drum beats, and crushing guitar riffs combine blues, hard rock, and garage elements into a finished product that music industry elites have described as “pretty cool” and containing “a lot of good stuff in there”. If you’re lucky enough to stumble into one of their concerts, quarterbacked by their ultra high-energy frontman David Koffman, you’ll be left staggering out afterwards with your dancing feet sore and your face thoroughly melted. Check out their latest single “Doomsday”, their smash-hit “Oh No (Yeah)”, or fan-favourite “Toxic Love” wherever you get your music.

Their original music is their true passion. Their debut album “Sociable!” released in May 2015, and hit #4 nationally on community/college radio stations, including #1 positions on weekly Top 30 and folk charts. Their sophomore album “Far From Shore” released July 2018 and received play on CBC stations around Canada, and again appeared on several college/community Top 30 and folk charts. During the Covid Pandemic, they released a collection of covers recorded during a live-stream event on their third album affectionately titled “LIVE”. (Albums are available for purchase through bandcamp, at live shows, and at most digital retailers).
They feature a dynamic fiddle performance with Bexy Ashworth and Liam McGlashon, the talented multi-instrumentalist/luthier Matti Palonen on tin whistle and double-bass (Matti also plays harp, kantele, mandolin, bandura, cello and jouhikko), Scot Allan on bodhrán (Scot also plays drums and other percussion), and Stephen Lamb on guitar and lead vocals. Best described as ‘engaging Celtic folk/rock’, they combine the sound of traditional folk instruments with a passionate intensity during fiddle tunes and sing-a-long pub rousers, and when the mood shifts to folk-style story-telling songs, the haunting melodies and warm vocals created by these musicians would ‘bring a tear to a glass-eye’.
They have been featured on 67 Music’s ‘The Celtic Music Journal’, been interviewed in Irish Music Magazine and appeared on several episodes of The Irish and Celtic Music Podcast. With their rendition of classic Celtic and east coast covers, traditional fiddle tunes, and a variety of original tunes, they often invite the audience to participate in a fun, energetic stage show that can be enjoyed by all.

With a focus on Neil’s younger days, ‘After The Gold Rush’ brings the closest sonic and visual performance to the real experience available. It’s all there…the voice, the sound, the songs and the sights.

Covered in Paint heading east of Yonge Street to the Linsmore Tavern!
Saturday February 4th, the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave), is bringing in one of the premier cover bands in the GTA, who we have heard so many good things about and are finally able to bring them in for a show! Covered in Paint will be in the house and after so many requests over the years, they are ready to bring their high-energy, fan-friendly set-list that we know you will love! This band does not head east of Yonge Street very often, so for those in the east-end, you can finally see them close to home! Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door!
With a set list that would, “kill most drummers,” Covered In Paint heads East to the legendary Linsmore Tavern for a show on Saturday February 4th, 2023. Covered In Paint has primarily been a west end band playing monthly at Roc N Doc’s and the Antler room but jumped at the opportunity to bring its brand of rock to the Linsmore Tavern. This four piece has a raucous set list that runs from AC/DC to ZZ Top, with a dash of Metallica in the middle. They also do newer stuff by the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age and Sublime. “If (a song) doesn’t kick, or if it seems self-indulgent, it (gets passed over),” says guitarist John Scheel. “We’d do Motor Head before Oasis.” “It’s a lot of energy,” adds fellow guitarist George Vasilakos. who grew up trading licks with his first cousin Phil X of Bon Jovi fame. The line up is filled out by George’s son bass prodigy Luke who also plays with up and coming bands Sticks and Stones and Pale Mare and Dean Carl Glover on drums of Groovestone and Jeff Healy fame.
