Thursday November 30th is an exciting night of music at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave)! If you are a music fan and want to discover some really good original music acts, than this is your night as the Linsmore will be bringing in Birchcliff with Special Guests Piper & Carson and one of our personal favourites Phillip Vonesh who has played many great shows over the years at the Linsmore with The Spare Parts Band! This night is all about some really good storytelling and folk rock at its finest! The show starts at 8pm, there will be a $15 cover charge at the door!
Birchcliff – Named after the neighbourhood where he grew up in Scarborough, Birchcliff is the moniker of Jake Harding – a newcomer on the indie-folk scene with vivid stories that feel as though they’re pulled from past lives, and hooks that involuntarily stick. His debut LP is set to release early spring.
Piper & Carson – From festival stages to intimate house concerts, Piper & Carson remind us of why we go to see live music. Their songwriting is free and fiercely personal; as if it’s been running in the woods, washing in cold water, and howling with wolves. The couples undeniable chemistry and onstage presence draws the audience into the conversation. Piper’s immersive storytelling provides context and familiarity bringing their original music to life.
Phillip Vonesh – Toronto-born Phillip Vonesh is an artist who follows his heart wherever it takes him. Leading him to extended stays on Toronto Island, Montreal and Mexico City. Vonesh’s writing style is evocative and vulnerable. His strength is the ability to combine his folk influence with an uncanny prowess to write a rock hook.
