The Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave), loves bringing in top notch Celtic bands and have brought in many over the years! On Thursday December 7th we are bringing in for the first time Free In The Six who are a new Female Fronted, Celtic Folk-Rock Band from Toronto who are ready to bring the party and their home-country music to the Linsmore! The show starts at 7:30pm, come out and enjoy the newest and hottest Toronto based Celtic band!
Free In The Six are a Toronto-based, three-piece Celtic folk-rock band composed of Rachel (lead vocals), Josh (bass), and Padraig (guitar, backing vocals).
Having met in Toronto, but hailing from Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England; the band’s name is a nod to the Irish republican movement, which calls to ‘free the six’ counties that make up Northern Ireland from British rule.
Their repertoire includes dozens of classic covers from a variety of musical genres including folk, rock, country, rock ‘n’ roll, soul, and pop – all played in a traditional Celtic-rock style.
