Cieppo with Ishmael and C’est la Fête Live at the Linsmore Tavern!

Get ready for an awesome evening of original music live at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) on Thursday August 1st! All 3 of these band’s will be performing on our stage for the very first time! Headlining this evening is indie folk-punk band, Ceippo. Also performing will be singer/songwriter Ishmael and piano trio C’est la Fête! The show starts at 7:30pm, there will be a $10 cover charge at the door.

Ceippo is an indie folk-punk band based in Toronto. They draw from an eclectic variety of influences ranging from Americana bands like The Band and The Avett brothers to off kilter punk acts like The Violent Femmes and The Velvet Underground. They are known for eccentric live performances mixing fast paced and raw folk-punk songs like Angst Song and Ballcap Boy with softer more introspective songs such as How the City Grows and Summer.

Ishmael is a pianist and singer-songwriter. he will be joined by Audric on baritone saxophone, Erika Dishnica on guitar, and Fenton Fernandez on bass. Their set is more or less folk-jazz and is mostly originals with a few jazz standards.
C’est la Fête is a piano trio from the tradition of piano trios.
